Artwork by Karen Garavalia

Karen draws her inspiration from the beauty in nature and her faith in God.

Working primarily in watercolors, Karen paints a variety of subjects, from landscapes to birds to Christian art. She also works on commission to create beautiful House Portraits and Pet Portraits.

Recently Karen completed the illustrations for a new children's book, "Look with Your Spirit" by RJ Brandell. Additionally, Karen has illustrated two book covers for Shirley Amendt's works,  "Come, Follow Me", and "His Mighty Hand."

Karen finds joy in teaching art and sharing her abilities with others; by occasionally holding "Paint and Wine Retreats", as well as offering watercolor workshops at the local senior center. She also enjoys her part time role as a fine arts teacher, working with middle and high school students for a homeschooling group in the area.

Karen sells her artwork throughout the summer and fall at several Artisian fairs and craft shows. She also has an online Etsy store called Sacreart.  You can go there by clicking on the following link:

In the store you will find many giclee prints, notecards, ornaments and other gift ideas available for purchase.
